Patient Care Coordinator

The Patient Care Coordinator course is a flexible online learning programme designed to support dental professionals in developing the knowledge and confidence required to effectively manage the patient journey within practice. The course includes 20 CPD hours and is delivered through eight modules alongside practical and written assessments, allowing learners to study at their own pace with ongoing tutor support throughout.
Learners will gain an understanding of introducing and implementing the Treatment Coordinator role in practice, managing patient journeys, marketing and patient engagement, and developing effective communication skills. The course also covers patient follow-ups, referrals, relationship building, supporting patient consultations, consent and ethics, professional responsibility, and discussing treatment fees and finance options with confidence.
Throughout the programme, learners will receive tutor guidance, feedback, and support to help them apply their learning directly within the dental practice, building both professional knowledge and practical confidence in the role of a Patient Care Coordinator.
Upon successful completion of the course, learners will have developed the skills and confidence needed to effectively support patients throughout their treatment journey, improve communication and patient experience within practice, and contribute to practice growth and patient retention.
