Anna Lown

Founder & Director of Smiles Dental Training

Anna is the founder and director of Smiles Dental Training. With a passion for developing the next generation of dental professionals, Anna created the company to offer expert tutoring and guidance to help learners successfully gain their qualifications.
With 21 years of experience in the dental industry, Anna has gained a wealth of knowledge and skills. Having worked as both a Qualified Dental Nurse and a Practice Manager, Anna has developed a comprehensive understanding of the unique challenges faced by dental practice staff.
Anna works as an Education Associate for the General Dental Council (GDC) and holds various roles including Internal Quality Assurer (IQA), External Quality Assurer (EQA), NEBDN Examiner, Compliance Advisor and has co-authored two Dental Textbooks.
Anna is committed to making a positive impact on the dental profession by empowering dental nurses with the skills, confidence, and support they need to excel in their careers.

Chloe Foxhall

Head of Operations and Quality

Chloe is a highly experienced professional in dental education, assessment and quality assurance. Her qualifications include the NEBDN National Diploma in Dental Nursing, post-registration qualifications in Oral Health Education, Dental Radiography and Fluoride Application, the Level 3 Award in Education and Training, the Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA), and the Level 4 Award in Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice.

Chloe specialises in developing and delivering high-quality dental qualifications. She also oversees curriculum development, quality assurance and tutor management to maintain excellent standards across all programmes. Passionate about learner success, Chloe is committed to helping learners achieve their professional goals and progress confidently within the dental profession.

Chloe is also the co-author of three dental textbooks.

Hannah Clark

Teaches Diploma in Dental Nursing

With over 16 years of experience in dentistry, Hannah has gained post-registration qualifications in Dental Radiography, Oral Health Education, and Orthodontic Nursing. Additionally, Hannah obtained a Care Certificate and spent three years as an auxiliary nurse in a hospital setting, providing care for dementia patients and supporting end-of-life care. Committed to both supporting others and advancing their expertise, Hannah also holds a Level 4 IQA certificate. Passionate about education, Hannah enjoys teaching and mentoring new students, guiding them in developing their own careers.

Devon Johnson

Teaches Oral Health Education and Diploma. Sedation Tutor.

Devon has been working in dentistry for over eight years and qualified as a Dental Nurse with the City and Guilds Diploma in Dental Nursing. Devon is a qualified tutor with a Level 3 in Education and Training and currently holds a post graduate certificate in Oral Health Education and Sedation.

Jane Dalgarno

Teaches Sedation Nursing.

Since qualifying in 1993, Jane has completed post certificates in Oral Health Education, Sedation, Dental Radiography, Certificate in Education, Post Compulsory Education and holds the A1/A2 assessors award. Graduating with a First-Class Honours Degree in Primary Dental Care, Jane currently teaches on the Dental Radiography, Dental Sedation Nursing and Oral Health Education programmes. Jane is an examiner for the NEBDN and is part of the NEBDN Sedation Committee. Jane is past President of the BADN and holds the current position of chair.

Lynsey Gibbs

Administration Manager.

With over 26 years of experience in dentistry, Lynsey has developed extensive knowledge and skills since qualifying as a Dental Nurse in 1998. Lynsey ‘s career has included working in both NHS and private dental settings, during which she has achieved post-registration qualifications in Dental Radiography, Topical Fluoride Application, and, most recently, Dental Implant Nursing. Passionate about learning, Lynsey takes great satisfaction in supporting trainee nurses through Smiles Dental Training, helping them progress and achieve their own qualifications.

Jasmine Myers

Teaches Implant Nursing, Orthodontics and Diploma .

Jasmine is a Restorative Dental Nurse based within the maxillofacial department in a NHS hospital. Since qualifying, Jasmine has achieved post-graduate certificates in Dental Implant Nursing, Dental Radiography, Topical Fluoride Application, and Level 3 in Education and Training. Most recently, Jasmine completed a foundation degree as a nursing associate, which allows her to assist with and manage more complex procedures for head and neck patients.
Jasmine loves teaching and mentoring passionate dental nurses who want to progress their careers with our post-graduate courses.

Bonnie Roach

Enquiries and Admin Support.

Bonnie has been a dental nurse for over 8 years and completed qualification in 2015 with the City and Guilds Diploma in Dental Nursing. Bonnie has also completed a radiography qualification in 2017. Bonnie has good experience in most aspects of dentistry and loves to improve and further her knowledge within the industry and would love to help new Dental nurses achieve their goals.

Elizabeth King

Teaches Extended Duties, Diploma

Elizabeth has been working in dentistry for over six years and qualified as a Dental Nurse with Smiles Dental Training in 2020. Elizabeth really enjoyed the coursework and training process and would like to share this positive experience with other nurses. Elizabeth has a wealth of knowledge and experience in all aspects of dentistry, particularly implants and practice management. Elizabeth loves expanding on her skill set and working as part of a team. Elizabeth now begins her journey in Dental Hygiene and Therapy.

Sara Green

Tutor/Assessor. Teaches Diploma

Sara has worked in Dental healthcare for over 20 years and holds post-registration qualifications in dental sedation nursing and dental implant nursing.

Throughout her career, Sara has had some exciting roles within the industry, making the most of those qualifications as well as being a dental nursing tutor and assessor. Sara has also worked within oral surgery and is currently a practice manager.

Sara loves to use her own knowledge and experience to help dental nurses achieve their qualifications and further their own careers.

Elishia Poole

Marketing Manager.

Elishia qualified as a Dental Nurse with Smiles Dental Training in 2022, and since then has been committed to continually expanding her knowledge and skills. Elishia has additional qualifications in Dental Radiograpy and Fluoride Application and is currently completing her Oral Health Education (OHE) qualification. Alongside her clinical development, Elishia also holds a Level 3 Award in Education and Training and is a fully quailified dental tutor.

For Elishia, dentistry is a passion. Whilst being dedicated to providing high-quality patient care Elishia is continually investing in her own professional development. She proudly volunteers with Dentaid, helping improve access to dental care for those in need, and is also passionate about inspiring and supporting the next generation of dental nurses through education, sharing knowledge, and encouraging others to reach their full potential.

Nicki Rowland

Leadership and Management.

Nicki has lived and breathed practice management and compliance since opening Perfect 32 Dental Practice in East Yorkshire in 2005. For over 10 years, Nicki nurtured her team to achieve exemplary standards in both clinical and customer service-based areas of work and as a result, she and her practice won countless awards.

In 2014, Nicki set up her own business, Practices Made Perfect (PMP), a training and consultancy organisation. PMP partners with practice owners and their teams to craft a coaching and training solution for their practice’s specific needs and challenges to ignite positive change and create sustainable growth. Nicki believes practice management training is vital because it empowers individuals and practices to work efficiently, sustainably, and ethically. Strong leadership skills drive team commitment and accountability resulting is better patient care, team wellbeing, and financial stability.

Nicki was placed in Dentistry’s Top 50 most influential people list in 2021 and 2025 for her endeavours in the fields of leadership and charity work with The Magic Dentist charity.

Claire Frisby

TCO Tutor.

Claire has over 35 years of experience in the dental profession and is the founder of Click-Nik. Working alongside her team, she supports dental practices, dental businesses and product brands with training, social media, administration, compliance and business growth, bringing practical knowledge and real industry insight to every project.
